Snorkel for TD5?

Hi Guys
Just bought a new GENUINE Landrover Disco2 snorkel kit on Ebay for $375.It is made by Safari,bugger is $200 to get it here.TRY AND FIND A GENUINE SNORKEL,none left.

I will be turning mine around tomorrow to see what difference it makes for the trip up to the expo. So in the next couple of weeks I will be able to report on any improvements on fuel consumption for the TD5.

Hi all, thanks Dobbo this one answers some of my questions i posted in the other thread.

LandyAndy i found the Airflow ones, on ebay for $295 postage isnt close to $200, search through to the end of the buy it now section of the Land Rover parts category.

Ive being chasing a genuine snorkel for 12 months,pig headed I guess as its identical to a Safari except for having LANDROVER embossed on it I can get a Safari delivered for $520,this will cost me $575.
But getting plenty of firewood orders,got another 4 tonne 2 do in the morning, so a bit of spare play money:cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: .

I would love a safari snorkel but with the money i save buying the airflow i can buy one of the hand winches on sale at Repco till the end of the month.

I opened an account a while ago and have been putting $50 a fortnight into is so i can start doing stuff to the disco, that account survived the holiday and i am determined to make it go as far as possible. :twisted:

Good luck with the hunt. Where was the snorkel on ebay? Surely $200 for postage is a bit steep, cant a forum member pic it up and help organise a courier or something. Matt

It was in the Land Rover listings,its coming from the ford/landy stealer in Dubbo.I spent 1/2 the arvo on the dog and bone,Aust Air Freight wanted $435 on non urgent pickup/del:eek: :eek: .Too big for aussie post,other quotes were from $225 up to the $435.Aust Air freight did say if it went thru an account the price would be considerably less,the dealer also stated they are on a daily pickup with aust air freight,so Im guessing they will be the transport,at least they deliver to your door daily in Williams.
