Lengthing headlight and side light loom Defender 110

    Hello All,

Would adding about 10-20 cm to the front wiring loom cause issues with the electrical system of a 110 Defender? For example increase the resistance too much?

I would like to extend the length of the wiring loom that connects the same colour-coded wire from the headlight, indicator, side repeater and parking lights into a separate bullet connector so that I just have to unscrew the headlight and be able to pull each set of bullet connector sockets out.

With the current set-up you have to be a contortionist to reach in-between the inner and outer mudguards to be able to disconnect or connect the wires. I am a bit tired of that game of soldiers!

    Kind regards
    Lionel

No problem - just use same sized wire minimum, not smaller.

Our Defender has an upgraded headlight wiring loom which is longer and thicker than the original and its all good.
