I don't know anything about the new RR or RRS.

Edit: Looks like 20, 21, 22 & 23 will fit most models and 31" dia tyre, eg 255/55R20. Hence 275/55R20 would most likely fit as they do for the L405 & L494.

I have recently bought a Japanese import L322, 2007 4.2SC and now have 19 inch wheels. I mostly do coarse-chip, rural road driving, with some gravel roads and some snowy ski access roads. In NZ.

I am after some all terrains to handle the relatively few times I go off road. The Range Rover is incredibly capable, but highway tyres are always going to be a problem in challenging conditions.

After reading the entire internet (it feels like!) about AT tyres I have reduced my choice to these three:
Pirelli AT+, Yokohama Geo GO15, and GG AT3. They all seem to have about the same levels of off road ability, all available in 255/55/19 111H, all 3PMS rated, and with similar road noise/comfort levels (although Graeme's experience is that the GGs are louder than the Pirellis).

I'm not sure if the GG AT3 is available in NZ in the 255/60/19. If it is, it would give extra sidewall and higher load index. I am wanting the most comfortable ride and wonder if while the extra sidewall should give more comfort, the increased load index might cancel that out?

So. Does anyone have any thoughts on these options? The internet is full of so many reviews, fake reviews, information based on overseas markets, or based on previous versions. Or info based on usage on completely different vehicles, or totally different profile tyres. Any help is appreciated

Oh. And a special thanks to Graeme, for all his input on all matters Range Rover.
    Cheers.

I'm somewhat dissapointed at the firmness of the ride provided by the GG AT3 255/60R19, after having used the AT+ in 275/55R20 with the same LI 113 and same sidewall height. The sidewalls are 2 ply which is unusual for a V-rated tyre but I suspect the harshness is due to extra tread layers (5 plies IIRC). I don't nurse the tyres but they haven't been put to the test of a fully loaded vehicle travelling rocky outback roads either, although I would expect their firmness to be welcomed in those circumstances.
