If you can go EFI, why would you consider carbies? I must admit, the look of Webers is not to be disregarded!
All,
I have a RV8 that I am playing with at the moment. Has anyone had any experience with either the aftermarket throttle bodies or the Weber IDA copies available on Fleabay? I can set the engine up as fuel injected or carb. Both cost about $425 each, vs original Webers at $1200 each and Jenvey throttle bodies at eyewatering prices. They will go on a Traco inlet manifold with a 48mm IDA pattern. Since I need four, the cost saving is attractive, but my experience is that with this type of kit you get what you pay for. I'm very open to suggestions for alternatives such as bike throttle bodies. I've been running a Holley on an Edlebrock manifold, but like the eye appeal of eight air intakes...

For that kind of money talk to EFI Hardware. Local product and support.

Ron,
I like the olde worlde charm of four Webers or Dellortos sitting on a V8 - and I understand carbies.
Fattima,
Yes, I'll go and have a chat to EFI Hardware, thanks for the suggestion.
