Ashcroft Front ATB in a Defender

I just posted this on Youtube & the front right wheel seems reluctant to engage, it might be to do with the revs but it finally kicks in. We were winching & a Detroit locker was driving both rear wheels as well as front.

ATB wont drive both front wheels equally, it sends power to the wheel with most traction , in this situation the tratcion is negligible but your winching the tyres are presented with changing traction so the wheels turn accordingly, Nothing to worry about.

you'd do better to lower your tyre pressures and stop trying to steer out of the ruts.

    Ashcroft

Good point, tyres were at 24PSI - it was a case of "is it worth losing ground clearance by going to 16psi in these ruts to get the extra traction- one might more than cancel out the other"
