Yep that price is corect. The light switch was dearer, like about 4 x. With a little bit of work and some resin I repaired mine (light switch). There is always someone however that will try to charge you a fortune for Land Rover parts if yo do not look around.

And in my experience it's not always a couple of weeks... I ordered some small heater parts from ebay a week ago, and they arrived today (even after being opened by quarantine for looking like something dodgy in little baggies).

I don't really know if I would notice a difference if the horn on my fender was/wasn't working... can anyone actually hear it?!!

I have repaired indicator/headlight switchs in the past found them full of dust and grease etc,the indicators in my disco don't work when it is cold (when I go to goulburn or canberra)once the heater warms the cabin up they work fine I suspect the switch lubricant has found it's way onto the contacts and just needs a clean

Not bad prices. The prices on wwwdavevincent.com are some of the cheapest UK prices I have found, but freight is a killer from the UK compared with the US. Max from US is about $15-20 aud for sometthing this size and about $40aud form the UK.
It is crazy that you can get a UK part cheaper from the US than the UK.
Some very dramatic differences in price in the UK for the same part.
Parts PRC3430 and AMR6104 light stalks (beware some sites have confused 3430 (3 way switch) and 3432 (2 way switch - fog lights) so make sure it is a 3 way switch), are exactly the same switch apart from the connectors. PRC3430 is the older bullet head rubber wrapped type connector and AMR6104 is a plastic 3 blade type connector. For the price difference I will be ordering PRC3430 and changing the connector.

Fellas and all,

If you start to have headlight problems do not hesitate to install realays, even in the low beam circuits. The switches, at least in the Defs are a bit of a weak point. A relay or two in the Lows and same for the Highs, mounted in the engine bay over the wheel arch, will take a big load off the actual switch contacts. The alternator is close by. Just remember to fuse all circuits.

On one vehicle, we had a cooked switch, on another there was an open circuit on one feed to a low beam fuse. Fitted a relay to drive both lows, triggered by the remaining low beam feed after the original fusing and left the fault to stay in the column-fuse block loom.
All fixed.
