    I have the same cut on mine as phil put on his so i could run my 31's, mine isnt as neat as phils but it did the trick. matt

    Well I've just done my 1998 four door D1 and the dimensions were nothing like the photo posted above.



    All cuts were straight lines but the curve of the panel gives it some shape. I have no 'lip' on the panel below the line of the trim strip which some people may not like. There are three points that I measured:
    1) Where the line of the top of the trim strip meets the wheel arch. Mine was 505mm from the rear seam of the panel.
    2) On the first fold of the panel (above the bolt) mark 350mm from the rear seam. This should be 40mm from the wheel arch.
    3) On the lower lip of the panel mark 320mm from the rear end of the lip (does not line up with the rear seam but it's easier to measure).
    Join the dots with a straight edge curved around the panel and cut. Cut the lip of the wheel arch at 45degrees to finish it off. File smooth and paint if you want and you're done.
