I'm keen to see some close ups as well, it looks great. Ever since I saw a TDI wagon with solid lift up windows on both sides in a 4x4 mag stopped talking to a motorcycle in the desert somewhere I have wanted to do this conversion as a four door panel van.Quote:

I even made some contacts with a company in England which were happy to do it but the freight was more than the price of the window.
I originally wanted the same type of window that you find in the fibreglass canopies but found the issue is not access to the aluminium extrusion but finding someone capable to bend it and the ability to have the glass replaced.
A company in Adelaide (Still looking for the details) which originally I feel were reluctant but after some correspondence came up with the design. The only negative thing I could say is I feel the handles could be a little lower in profile and maybe black. I have not hit them on anything to date and I have had it for some 2 years. The fit is excellent and I fitted it in a couple of hours. Great attention was made to sealing etc These guys had done this thing before I reckon. The hinge is a piano hinge full length.

Yeah, they look really good, but I'm interested in aluminium, or similar, because I load up the rear, and I don't want to worry about windows being damaged by flying objects. Doors similar to the tool box openings on some of those Telstra vehicles would be ideal. I guess for me, the closest place to go is Townsville, but may be in Brisvegas next month, so if anyone knows a supplier down there, I'd be grateful for the information.
Here are the companies details that made the Side access window.
