Has anyone successfully used OTPubs USB technical manuals?

I recently purchased the USB Original Technical Publications manuals. Unfortunately, I have not been able to get the manuals to work. The OTP program runs and I can navigate their menus, however none of the documents are able to be opened. I keep getting this error message:

    OTPubserror.jpg

I have been in contact with OTPubs technical support, with so far no help. Has anyone purchased this USB stick and been able to get it to work on their Windows 11 machine? I have tried running both the OTP and locklizard programs in compatability mode for older windows version with no luck. I suspect that the USB stick itself is bad, but can't get any sort of confirmation one way or the other from OTPubs.

It is quite frustrating to see all of these technical manuals on the drive, and not being able to see the information!

How far back in compatibility mode did you try?

For example, I had to go back to Win XP to get RAVE to work on my Win 10 PC.

I gone as far back as '98. The program behavior doesn't change when using compatibility mode, so I am thinking it isn't a compatibility issue.

Don't have this product. I had one core application which, when wanting to install add on packages, had as many different installation processes as there were packages, not quite your issue, but same frustrations.
This may already be known to you, but just in case:

-the Publisher will have sent you a license email so that you can open their protected PDF documents
    - check your spam folder...some companies strip incoming email attachments...if you have not received your license email then contact the Publisher.

Given the publisher is not providing a solution for a product they sold to you can you cancel the payment?

BE aware that you might also have a one use license which will tie to a machine

IF this is the case you'll have a regsiter email, the machine you use to respond to this is the machine the machine that the license will generate for and you may not be able to use your .pdc's on another machine.

If you're planning on using a laptop, phone or any other device than your main PC to read the .pdc's use that device to reply to the email from.

A work around is to print the .pdc's into pdf and then send the pdf to your other device. I think theres a limit to how many pages you can do that with.

    Good luck

So OTPubs states that the USB stick manuals do not require any license in order to work. It was, after a lot of frustrating back-and-forth, concluded that the USB stick is faulty. The retailer, John Craddock, eventually issued a refund. I did have to open a dispute with paypal in order to force the issue.

I have heard some bad stories about John Craddock recently on other forums.
Did have an enquiry for a part recently and the price on the webpage and what they quoted were vastly different.
After quering this they said "take it or leave it".
I no longer shop at John rip-off Craddock.

    cheers
