Agree, taking the fuel lines off the pump is a bit fiddly but no problems if you do not rush. The first time I cleaned the pump it was done in a workshop (never again), they broke one of the fittings and then managed not to fit it properly back on, so fuel was leaking out in the desert..... Was fun to redo the job in the sand...

Anyway, since then I made a hole with a door in the floor to access the pump withouth taking the bloody tank down - now it's easy!
Nice... did you do this yourself or have someone do it. I've asked mechanics (... couple times now) if something could be done and they reckon it'll weaken the floor too much. Mind you, this was for my 110... could be different for a 130?

    Hello Scott,

The first time I made this access hole was in a 110. No probs at all.

The issue is that you have to cut one of the cross members. I used 3mm aluminium (which is double the thickness of the LR floor) to close the access hole.

    Here are the measurements:

    Hole: 200x200mm
For position of the bottom left corner of the access hole: from the rear door (inside) 360mm and from the left 295mm

Had a drawing somewhere PM me if you are interested.

    Cheers,
    Daniel
