looking at getting a second set of rims and put some decent 4wd rubber on them for weekends and my holiday down in tassie in a couple of months and just wondering what people have on there cars and any issues? probably get a set of rims from brothers not a bad price compared to others and not to bad looking either.
disco seriesII mods so far:-bullbar,hyd winch,
detriot locker, lsd front,C.D.L kit, chipped and bigger intercooler,2" lift, rock sliders, lsd in transfer case, modified auto trans.

33" Simex JT2's. These are actually 33.7" and will fit on the D2 with just a 2" spring lift and some adjustment to the steering stops.

About 265/75 seems to be the go with a bullbar and no rubbing. 255/85's will still give a bit of a run behind the washer area. All of the bigger sizes also require a bull bar.

I run 265/75R17 BFG Muds on my D2 with an ARB bull bar and 40mm lift - perfect. Another in our club runs 33" Muds on his D2 and has rubbing issues.

    265/75R17 ?

17 inch rims, is it a typo or aftermarket mags?

Have you fitted a speedo correction to it?

Can they be fitted on standard height?

Apologies 16" rims. Yep, also fitted the Truspeed speedo correction unit, works a treat and allows you to run 2 sets of different dia tyres - just flick a switch betwen the two.

Then you can run up to about 35" with 4" lift or a 2" body lift.

Its not the money that kills, its the time to cut the guards and particularly the doors then finishing it off.

    Actually the money does hurt.
