Once the head is here I can get it checked prob is its in Melbourne so I will have paid for it first. I guess the stories of the beast being used as a test bed for the engine mods might be true. Was told today that the areas between the water galeries and the cylinder just crumbled when he started cleaning. The guy was quite amazed at the poor workmanship that had been done on it. It was definatly one of those "Oh @#$% quick put it back together and flog it of" type of jobs.

This might be little consolation given the current circumstances....you have a very good vehicle for the initial outlay...

I went through similar trauma with mine just after I bought it...and I still own it. :D
