Who on their Defenders have replaced their reversing light, out of curiosity how big.. I have a Hella 160 lying around and have bolted that on and wired it into the reversing circuit for fun, As I get up and leave in the dark most mornings hitching up the trailer is a sinch now...but SWMBO is ****ed off at how the bedroom illuminates like an alien landing![]()

I put a set of cheap driving lights on mine.
32 watt halogen on mine.

Mine are on a Disco but I'll butt in anyway
When I bought my Disco it had these ****y little reversing lights on the back as opposed to the 100w I had on the back of my Rodeo.
I thought I would swap them for something better when I got it home.
However those little lights (55w looking ricer lights) light up everything you could ever want to see. As opposed to the spot type light the Rodeo had.
So have you guys run the lights through a relay or are you just relying on the switch.

They are through a seperate switch and relay. Mine are 100w each. I wanted to be able to turn them on when working at night. Great for camp site set up in the dark as well.
On my Rodeo they were through a relay. I also had a switch so that they were either off, on with reverse lights or just on all the time.
On the Disco they are just on with the reverse lights. Not sure if there is a relay in there or not yet.
Relay, Bushie do you not know my electrical prowess, red is ouch , black is okay.. please supply a *simple* description on how you would do itOriginally Posted by Bushie
