    Any of you use these tyres

    comments please if you have them, no hearsay or third party input requirednonly if you have them on your truck.
    Mongerals
    At $265each they look ok for wrecking on rock

    They are remoulds, Motorway Mongrels. They look the part. I've heard mixed stories about there offroad performance, some say great some say crap.

    i borrowed some of a mate 33x12.5 15"
    he only had 2 mongrels so i put them on the back and he also had 2 bfg mud terrains which i put on the front

    man my defender was all over the road like a mad womens s*#T
    i drove home 10ks turned around back to his place and put my wheels back on

    it was very scary and VERY dangerous i dont know if it was the mixture of tyres or the width or the offset on the rims but not for me

    Thats what I heard of their on road handling as well, did you try them off road?

    mate i would have been in a loony bin if i drove it any further to go off road it was very scary to drive they dont get my vote on road

    I looked at them yonks ago, only in 33" then from memory.

    Tread depth was only 1/2 or 2/3 of a Simex. False economy.

    Simex 32/10.50/16 which measures up as 33" is about $290 last time I looked.

    dont look now!

    i ran 32'' mongrels on my v8 disco, bloody great as far as im concerned! had no issues anywhere!
    tread depth was 18mm new i lost 3mm in depth in 7000klms

    you do the math....
