Mine was registered as a modified series 3 fitted with coil springs and a V8. (The rangie chassis was restamped:angel:) In QLD this was a lot easier than registering it as a range rover with an older body fitted.
If you use a Series firewall and and panels and an old rangie donor, its not expensive, but very time consuming. Albeit highly enjoyable. After you build one, you will want to build another without the mistakes of the first.........
V8 Discos are getting so cheap these days, theyre almost worth using as a donor - stronger axles and injection, and the body parts are worth more to sell than old rangie panels.
The DVD is a must, but it can be done a lot cheaper than this using series parts and without the bling.
