    Sag in the Suspension Department

I post this early before doing the forensics...

The Disco seems to have sagged about 15 mm on the driver's side rear

This has become apparent only within the last month...therefore suddenly.

One hard drive in that month.

The springs are Lovell's 50mm lift and about 60,000 km and 4 years old.

This weekend will be spent checking it out.

not a bad Idea Zook, but wouldnt you then be nose high and have to drop the fronts as well?

what about fitting a taller tyre in place of the normal right rear?

Shims. Apparently its common. Even HD rover springs are still soft, and thats the way the engine twists the chassis when driving.

I have another thought on your conundrum. I had a similar thing occur on my Disco two months ago, except it was P/S/R that saggged. I then discovered, by way of out of round tyres, that my front shocks were rxxted. I replaced all 4 shocks and when I got to the rear, found that the PSR shock was depressurised. With the new shocks on there was no more sag. And, believe it or not the shocks were only a 4 years old, Monroe Gas Magnums stamped 2002.

Besides, what's 30 mins taking the rear shock off and playing with it? If you take both shocks off you can eliminate one possible cause - either it will be level or the sag will still be there

    Good hunting.

The Rossi has always played tricks on us in car parks,, one week it will be leaning drivers side,
the next flat as-- running Nitrochargers all round,,
The only thing BUB002 does is lean forward when I raise the rear

Stick a set of polyairs in it. That way you can level it out for load. My RH side is set slightly higher for the spare and of course, the slightly built driver.

    Thanks guys (and Tony.. )

    In no particular order:

I have polyairs so the first thing I am going to check are the pressures.

I hope that the Bilsteins aren't knackered. I just spent a wad of $ on a new GPS.

That could be a good start. If you have holed one the other may be holding one side up.
I have run Lovells in the past with no issues.
