There's a short in there somewhere, thats why fuses blow, quick trip to the auto electrician, maybe....given you'd been out off roading prior to this 'event' i think (maybe right, maybe wrong) you've picked up something or something has got in somewhere and hooked or scored a wire, hence the blown fuses, just a thought...get in and have a good look, never know.....

the not so cheap one could be.......the pump is seized and blowing the fuses.....

see if you can unplug the pump.....then fit a new fuse to see if it blows again.....
if it does blow.....unplug the next suspect thing and repeat.....
keep doing this till you run out of fuses...... :eek: ....or you find the fault.....
Looking at the wiring diagram the fuse is dedicated to the ABS Pump - nothing else on it.
Between the fuse and the pump is the abs relayand the other side of the pump is the abs pressure switch, ground side connection
You might want to test the resistance through the pump (with it disconnected to see of it's open circuit or (more likely) grounded (shorted out).

I'd say it could be a loose connection, snagged wire, dodgy relay or unlikely but possible a locked rotor or other internal fault on the motor
Can anyone tell me where the wiring runs on this model I agree a snagged wire could short out a circuit but how could a wire snag ( I presume they are running on the interior of the vehicle)
Totally off the subject of ABS, is the "Sawpit track" at the Watagans still there???????. It used to be a great track if it had been raining. On the subject of ABS, the auto electrician sounds like good cheap advise if you are blowing fuses instantaniuosly.

Sawpit track is still here, Cut rock rd is partially locked now. There is a monster track "the track with no name" that Relay told me about, we're gonna see how bad it is next week some time.Quote:

heres a cheap solution for fault finding
if your fuses have spade connectors on em goto an auto elecys and buy a self resetting circut breaker 5 amps less than the fuse you are checking and a 1 watt bulb in a holder with wires
attach wire of the appropriate size to a pair of blade connectors and the CB so that instead of the fuse you put the CB in place.
wire the 1 watt bulb over the terminals of the CB..
when the CB is closed (fuse not blown) the light will be off
when the CB opens (fuse blown) the light will turn on.
