The rear will be a full Maxi, once I stop buying bloody camera lenses;) :eek:
When considering which LSD I was looking at a Quaife (all the Peugeot guys swear by them), but they are hard to get out here and also very expensive.
$753 for the TruTrac and I am very happy. The money I saved went towards the Maxi axles and County CVs.
How does the ETC function when the rest of the car is locked up except for one axle? Does it work well? :)Quote:

it's a different size diff in the rear of a defender, you can do that in a disco but not in a man's car.:cool:
These Tru Tracs can fully lock up in certain conditions, can't they?
I'd love to get a couple for the Rangie. Good value for money...even at full retail price.
Don't think so. Apparently depending on how they are operated (eg ETC), they are pretty good though.
They bias torque to the wheel with traction by approx 3:1 (from memory).
They do need some resistance at the wheel with least traction however, so if one wheel is in the air, you need to apply a little braking to get drive to the wheel on the ground.
ETC brakes the wheel that is slipping, but does not bias the torque, which makes the ETC + tru-trac a good combination.
