How do you accelerate (fwd) to regain traction if your wheels slip due to rev lockup (with it still in rev)?

Well I've had both Auto and Manual Landies...

I can take or leave either, and I've played on some rippa' widowmakers in my time.

My 2c worth?

I used to have a manual HiLux, then got an auto V8 Discovery. I reckon you have slightly less downhill control in the auto, and HDC can get a little quick at times even in LR1st, however it is more than made up for when it comes to crawling up things, and re-starting on the (rare) occasions that you get stuck!
