Thanks Phil, much better price. From what i've read, the newer locker doesn't seem to have as many handling issues or make as many noises as the old ones. Would this be right? Also, do both maxi and jacmac suit this diff? Which is cheaper/better?

just sent them an email last night, they asked for my location so they could put me onto my local dealer....would prefer to deal direct with them though and cut out the middle man

    Right, Finally some feedback.

Spent a fair bit of time 'testing' yesterday, in water, mud, rocks and loose sandy slopes.

Verdict, These diff centres are fantastic. The vehicle behaves like it has lockers in 90% of the time, but will corner and handle like before, and only a little bit of sideslip noticeable, certainly not detrimental.( IE slipping to one side during wheel spin)
At one point, the vehicle, an Auto Tdi disco, had all 4 wheels rotating while reversing up a fairly steep 'ledge'. One front wheel at this point was in mud, the other on a slab of granite. For a LSD, they are mighty positive. The owner suggests he has not felt any real difference in handling on the bitumen and round town, but the vehicle self centres the steering faster than before.

I'll be fitting these centres to mine I think...

so just ring them up! there are only 2 of them, David or Clouse(sp??)

but the vehicle self centres the steering faster than before.
i noticed this too! after my 60mm lift the 90 got a bit lite on the steering, after the true track it made it more like standard! with the old disco i only had the detroit in the rear, and booting it around corners, wet or dry was a big no no! i re-tried this on saterday coming home from dorrigo, in the wet! well its kinda like b4 only controllable?? you feel the front push due to the rear being locked but then the front pulls the car back on track!

    cheers phil

I just thought "Bugger it, I will ring up and order one" and the phonecall went to an answering machine! Maybe they knock off early on a Friday. I will try again in a little while, if not, next week .
