Quite true,
Brain fade, I was thinking of the hi-lift. Sometimes the simexes will pop a bead in very awkward spots, & the hi-lift almost runs out of travel. And bends. Always managed to reseat them so far though.

Oh great...... now its not only the cars that have a reputation for leaking oil........it affects the jacks as well.![]()

Did your bottle jack come with the Defender or is it an aftermarket one? Also is it a single or double lift unit? I would be surprised if a double lift jack wouldn't be OK (even with 35's) when used under the axle housing as they have quite a lift.Originally Posted by Tusker

RIP Bucko - Riding on Forever
Looked at some Hydraulic jacks in Mahlz today, 6 tonne @ $44 odd, all I need to do is weld a pin on top of the screw extension and I can replace that POS they supply with the D3.
I've had a 4 tonner bought in my series 3 days (When Noah built the Ark) and that just keeps on going, only problem with them is the contact area.

Nope, just 3 beefy blokes to pull the tyre, & the air compressor. Seems to take forever, but the bead reseats at 18 psi.Originally Posted by DEFENDERZOOK
