Roof bars, awning etc will make quite a difference. I stuck my ARB half cage on recently and haven't been bothered to remove it - weighs a ton - and I have noticed a slight drop in economy even though it is relatively well aerodynamically designed.Quote:

I really have to get my diff gears changed very soon. Driving around with 33" tyres and standard 3.54 is hell on fuel on my manual Rangie. i use to get around 20 litres per 100kms...now it is about 27 litres per 100kms! and that is on the bitumen...I would hate to drive it in soft sand!
Just need a few more weeks of savings....

No fuel additive, tried that, didn't do anything.

PS You should have bought my 33"'s Mick, then your gearing would be spot on ( has nothing to do with me wanting those 33 x 13.5 Trepadors though!!!!!!

Was tempted but that was only to gain more under the diff.....I like the high range gearing with the 4.11's and 32", now to look at low range crawlability!!...................so that conversation the other day about not needing to do anything else major to the truck was clearly a load of crap.....it never ends I tell you.Quote:
