cruise control was standard on the V8s - mags, abs, extra seats and airbags were options - all standard on the ES. If your car was originally fitted with only one rear side seat and complianced as such, it is some sort of special fit. As standard 5 seater or optional 7 seater. 6 seat is something odd. Was the extra seat simply removed and then the car certified as such?

I looked on the compliance plate when I got it and it is a six seater. It doesn't have a modification plate from being modified after delivery.

Cruise control isn't standard on the V8s. It certainly appears to be the norm but I looked at lots of Discos when buying mine and saw a few without it. Including at least one 1997 and one 1998 model.

That is a decent score though. Getting an SE for the price of an S. I'd just rip out the back seats and be done with it.
If the cops do pull you over just tell them it is an S as that is what it said on your order ;)

#1 Wheel well with two lengths of Unistrut across. The one closest the camera is bolted to the tiedown points, the one furthest away bolts through some holes that were used previously for the LPG tank frame.

#2 The new carpeted floor in place. Note the removable hatch (front bar not in pic but hatch is not fouled by the bar.

#3 The attachment of the front bar to sides of wheelarch (right through)

#4 A Unistrut channel nut, spring loaded to hold it in place. These can be fitted and moved/removed after the Unistrut is bolted down.

#5 The drawer frame that bolts to te Unistrut.

The removal of the rear seats will give you some extra room although it will be an uneven load area. We packed a large amount of gear into ours when we did the CSR.

Perhaps a roof rack for the plastic boxes?

Hmm yeah roof rack is no good as it has to go into the building carpark - at they wouldnt stay there at speed and would be open to theft - sensative equipment inside etc -


ps recently had windows tinted - 5% on rear and 35% on fronts - over the top of existing 20% - so shes now very dark !
