Don't do it, you'll regret it.
Unless you don't go off-road or have LPG fitted to your Rangie, stick with Strombergs. They're painful at times but get onto someone who knows what they're doing and you should have no issues at all.
I had a Holley once, worst thing I ever did![]()

Where are you Dan?
There's a guy in Melb (Wantirna), Nigel is his name, and he owns The Carby Shop. He drives a Leyland V8, he knows carbys very well, he can talk a bit (but not waste of time talk). Anyway, he's free with advise, in person or on the phone, so try www.whitepages.com.au and give him a call.
no not the holley dont do it a very over rated carbie for off road dont waste your money![]()
Mate
I have to agree, don't destroy your off-road ability with a holley. You may gain some performance if thats what you want on the street. I have one on my 2 door mated to a P76 (which has now been deregistered). You will find they flood when going uphill, so the only way to overcome this is low range and high revs and wait for something to break. Some will say to turn it around - only problem then is it floods going down steep hills. None of the carby blokes that worked on it were able to fix it for my use off road. There are deflectors - didn't work, low the float level - slightly better but overall didn't work. I think someone suggested one option is to have a an incab throttle - to lift the revs so as to reduce the chance of flooding - not sure how successful this was or somehow create a breather above and out of the fuel/possibly recirculate the fuel.
I thought loosing power going up a hill until it happenned going down, no brakes, no power steering - very scary. I purchased a manifold that has the twin carbs adapted to the P76 manifold for when the car re-registered.
In the end the mechanics basically said the Holley's aren't designed for off-road use.
Good luck
