Yeesh, 20L / 100 ks and thats good..... Maybe my 4.6 getting 17.5 round town isn't so bad then... Was considering putting it in for surgery to find out why it was so thirsty, but maybe not.
One thing I have found since making the change to petrol from diesel though is that for highway work, the higher octane 98 makes a big difference. It has been as good as an extra 150 ks out of a tank. It does not matter what fuel it consumes round town, so if I'm stuck at 60 and I know I will be for a few days, I just get cheaper unleaded. But for 100k+ constant cruising, go the extra expense. 98 gives better economy, power and seemingly smoother running.
