    tyres...................................that are used in afganistan

I'm on the pda so I cannot search to well

There was a post a while ago debaing the type of tyre that is being used in afganistan, not sure if it was worked out but here are the facts.

The tyres are made by Good Year. They are called HI - MILER XTRA GRIP.
7.50-16 Nylon, 8 ply rating. Let me know if you need anymore info.

    G'day Weeds

Hi-Miler Xtra Grip ! So they are conventionals (same as the old "Tripple Traction") thought that they were by the walls, stiffer and more stake/flint resistant too, Nylons that would be interesting when they were cold ask any older driver what it is like starting off on a cool morning or evening, particularly in a heavy vehicle or bus, every panel shakes until the tyres go round again but most people arn't aware of the joys of tubed conventionals on well type rims
