Range Rover 2" lift for US$150!

    Check this out.

    https://www.expeditionexchange.com/rangerover/
    (about 10th item down)
It appears to give a 2" lift and re-uses your original shocks.

Excellent Idea it seems if you have good shocks to start with and want a cheap lift?

BTW I have no affiliation with this site I just thought it was a different approach.

I don't think they are the best/cheapest way to do it. You still need to extend bumpstops with those and then buy spring spacers or new springs. Depending on the 4WD you may also need to extend brake and ABS lines.

If you use the factory shock mounts you can just buy 2" lift springs, stick them in and forget about them. Don't even touch the shocks (Except to get the springs in).
    Cheers

I've cut my standard rear mounts down about 40mm and they don't bind and the shocks close properly with about 10mm left. Took about 1/2 hour and cost Nil (couple of beers of course ).

You re-mount the bottom hole first and them mark and drill new ones that mount to the chassis. Also you need the re-drill the bottom holoe for the lower mounting bolt on the bracket you just cut down

Make sure you measure the stroke of your shocks so when the coil is compressed, the shocks don't get damaged and mine had about 8-10mm left before the shocks were fully closed.

I did that and broke two shocks . Now I have LTRs on there (thanks Tomby) and I have refitted my standard top mounts and extended my bump stops. The LTRs seem to be a much longer shock.

Remote mounted canister shocks usually are longer from what I seen.

    Not bloody cheap though
