Any rangie with a hicomp 3.5 and lt95 will have the high range 0.996 or whatever in it, low comps had the 1.13/1.

    Thanks Guys,
Much appreciated, the gearbox is on the workbench, so I will try what you said Luke.
I might also count the teeth, that will save me taking them out. A bit of whiteout is good 4 marking a tooth.
    Cheers,

Correct, but he wants to put them in a county, which only had the 2 types of transfer case fitted

If you can tell me of anyone who markets highway tyres with a dia larger than 811mm I will get them. I have 2 sets of off road and one all terrain, it goes OK with 35" swampers, so maybe I just answered my own question regarding higher gearing
I would put larger tyres on only if they were highway ones.
    Cheers,
Strictly highway?? Gulp, ummm, ummm but there is plenty of all terrain options

    255/85R16 (33.2" tyres)
    Cooper ST's - between all/mud terrain
    Maxxis MA761 - all terrain

It turns out that I already have the 1:1 ratio, so its not worth going to .996.
Seeing as she goes no worries with the 35" swampers - they are 889cm dia, I will price some Cooper 315x75r16 which are 879 dia.
The tyres you mention JDDisco are 844 dia. Not a real gain over the 808 dia BFG all terrains I now have.
If I have done my sums right.
    Current.
    235x85 sr16 All terrain 808 dia circumference = 2539
    Proposed
    315x75r16 Cooper ST 879 dia circumference = 2762

    Approx 8.8% higher gearing

These are the high range ratios available for the LT95:

    0.996
    1.113
    1.174
    1.3362

There was no 1:1 ratio, so you must have 0.996:1. So your options are:

Larger tyres - as you have suggested...
Find a (rare) Fairey Overdrive for an LT95
    Fit an R380 and LT230 or an LT85 & LT230 with the 1.003:1 ratio the LT230 had.
