		If anything "mystical" registers a fault in the Td5 ECU then you will (in the worst case where it won't clear at ignition on) need Testbook, Rovacom or similar on a computer to diagnose it.  No such problem with the Tdi.  Also much more electrics to potentially drown on the Td5.  On the downside the Tdi is rather sluggish in comparison to a Td5.  If you're going to travel in remote areas I'd go the Tdi.
Or you can do what I've done and get one of each :D :)

		thanks for that dm td5 but theres no way the wife would let me have two landys (unless we won lotto & then she says i can keep mine & she'll have a rangie sport); with the constant electrical problems i've had with my 'fender i might give the td5 a miss & try get mine more reliable as 90% of the time my problems occur when we're more than 1000k from home; e.g. karijini, el questro, broome & exmouth not all on the same trip either.
