Defender DIY Cruise - help identify these switches

    All,

As some of you may know, the defender has cruise from the factory, you just have to add the switches.

A friend of mine has a 04 defender where this has actually been done for him. So, I'm trying to replicate this setup. I promise I'll post the details of the wiring once I get it all sorted out, but before I can begin I need to identify these switches.

Can anyone help me by ideally telling me the part number? If not, exactly what model and year they have seen them in? I think we should be able to get a part number from this. I'm sure they will be from a freelander or disco or something like that.

    Thanks

    cruise

It looks like Freelander cruise possibly, as the D2 is slightly more rectangular with more of an indentation in it, and has the indicator light below the switch. Is it on the RAVE CD possibly. If not take the picture to a LR spares dealer. What did he use for the + & - and resume buttons.

The first pic is the set and resume buttons. The second pic (the switch on the right) looks like master switch, which needs to be switched on to activate cruise. They appear to be the same as in my discovery ('99). Can't help with a part number though...sorry.

    The Set + / Reset is off a Disco 1 P/No AMR 3361

The Master Switch is off a Freelander and depending on the VIN No. it's either

Cruise is an option in the UK. I think the switches are all available genuine from LR to suit defender.

As had been said above the set/resume switch looks like it is from a D1 with driver's airbag.

the set & reset switch looks exactly the same as on my 2002 disco 2. hoever on the disco its mounted on the steering wheel. i always wondered why there isnt a set (including +) and a - plus a reset/resume? as to slow things down you need to reset... then set at a lower speed which ends up in a jolt going through the transmission!

    Thanks

Cool! There are some serious hints in here.

I too will have a look on the rave CD and see what I can find.
