For those nitpickers, I believe it is legal to top up an R12 system in normal maintenance, and I know of a guy with some but I am not telling.
It is illegal to refill an empty system. Similarly, you can empty it and refill with the captured gas if doing maintenance, eg removing the engine.
However Many aircon places have tossed away their R12 recovery gear as oil etc is incompatable with R134A.

Good luck anyway in trying to find anyone stocking the SP34e gas cos' every auto place I call here on the coast only stocks the R134.
Seems there's no money in stocking the SP34e when you can put it straight into the old R12 system without replacing o-rings, filters, etc. One guy actually hung up on me when I asked for it!
If anyone knows where I can get the SP stuff put in up here near Gosford, please let me know.

It's a straight drop in , as I said earlier, but I would change the filter drier.
The cans hold 300 gramms - so typically a can should do one vehicle.

These are generally quite easy, take off the valve, strip it down and there will be some - either O rings or sealing washers.
You should be able to get replacements from most ref/ac parts place
Actrol, HeatCraft etc.,
Take the valve (s) in with you to be sure to get the right size
On reflection - it may be easier/cheaper/etc., just to replace those valves, they are really quite cheap

It won't be the top two, They are just straight crimp hose connectors without the valve, it would be my guess that it's the 4th down on the left - CPX 065 or 064Quote:

You might want to take the old ones off and go to a York Car AC place to make sure it's the right size, as you can see there are two sizes shown.
