I assume you mean power assisted steering. Yes, it was available, very few had it.

I was working at Leyland Truck & Bus in Brisbane & we were the LR/RR state distributors and Brisbane retail outlet. RR's were in short supply. Our dealers and reps were taking orders with no idea when they could be filled. Range Rovers ( and LR's) were allocated by Sydney and we sold what we got when we got it. Some times cars would arrive with PS, and sometimes with cloth seat facings. Dealer orders? Well, the squeaky wheel got the oil. Retail orders? The Retail Sales Manager would start 'phoning the customers asking if they still wanted a RR. " No, there isn't a white one with PS, you can have green one without." What got up the noses of quite a few customers was the fact that you could go to a dealer in Sydney or Melbourne who got the lion's share of allocations, and buy one off the floor. One of the many reasons Leyland and the rest of the British motor industry ceased to exist.

Yeah, Brian is so right, it was a case of "Who you knew" as they quite often went straight from Production/Assy to the dealer principle then on to the customer over dinner

1972 also doesn`t have a rear window wiper along with other bits .

If your trying to ID a 72 if you have to Chassis Number to post it will tell .

It will start with 355 if a UK model or 356 if an export .

I suppose theoretically PS was an option, in that factory documentation listed it as such, but in Oz we sold what we were sent in those times, and the customer took what we had. They didn't have any option. If there was a car with PS then someone got it, whether they wanted it or not. The only way a customer could spec. up and order a RR to their requirements was to order one for delivery in the UK.

I do, and it has 31x10.5x15 tyres.
Parking is a bit of a problem, but you get used to it.

While moving, there is little difference.
