How do I tell if the bolts for the panhard are worn?
I did have a quick look when I had them out. No obvious wear though (not that I was really looking for worn out bolts) as in flat spots or grooves etc.

Just by pulling them out and looking at them, you'll know if they're worn
if the swivel hubs don't have any play i doubt they'd be the problem from what your describing, but you never know
Ok an update.
Reset swivel pin bearing preload last night. Left hand side was very loose, no play in bearings but it was very loose. I knew as soon as I disconnected the tie rod ends. Right hand side not as bad but still loose.
This has made an improvement however the wobble is still evident when cornering.
I have been to 2 places to get a wheel balance and both have told me they cant do it. This is very frustrating. These tires where balanced very well when I first bought them. One guy is telling me that one of the wheels needs at least 850gms in one spot.
I'm not convinced as they never needed this much when I first bought them and I would imagine that if they were that bad the vehicle would drive like the tires are bloody square!
SO..........Can anyone recomend a reputable tire place in Melbourne with experience in balancing Simex ET's. I know they can be a pain to balance but hey it's not impossible! If I still lived in Yarra Junction I would go back to the local guy where I bought them. They were perfect..........then.:(
It might sound silly but check your front shockers my old rangie did the same i replaced front shockers and all good again:D
I don't know if this may help Mick, i had a wobble going round corners and a slight vibration this morning going to work, i had replaced my shocks, front and rear, so i had a look under the car and found that my shocks were loose at the bottom mount.
Baz.
*Mick runs outside to take a close look at shock mounts*
Nah. They look sweet to me.:( :(
Not loose (as in flopping around) or anything.
Fixed??, what'd we find:confused:
Tried a different set of tyres at all? Just out of interest?
:eek:Quote:
