Oil Recommendation for LT95 4 speed box and Isuzu 4bd1

I am looking for a recommendation on gear box oil for LT95 4 speed 110/range rover box? I'm just about to do an oil change.

Also, any recommendations on oil for the 4BD1 Isuzu? That is also getting changed.

    thanks

    Peter

DONT put 90w gear oil in the transfer if you do the GL5 oil will destroy the shims in the transfer and it will all turn to rubbish.
Rover recommedned engine oil at 20w 50 the army uses 15w 40 castrol.
These boxes are incredibly tough 20w 50 seems to have them last up to 500,000 ks.

    Correct,
the manual on my County quotes BP Visco 2000 as one of the recommended oils for the engine, gearbox and t/case.

AS per the EMEI's (Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Instructions)

OMD 115 in engine, gearbox and transfer case.
OEP 220 in the diffs and now
MOLYG in the swivels (changes depending on ver of EMEI's and unit)

OMD 115 is aproximately equal to a 10/30w engine oil its just got a little more detergent in it
    OEP 220 is 80/90w
MOLYG is molybdnum disuplhide (wrong spelling) grease,

    hope it helps ya

would a mineral oil be better than a synthetic oil in these older TRANSFER boxes??

For the last 10 years at DNSDC (the old 2 base workshop) we put gear oil 90 weight in the T/case, I have run every LT95 T/case I have had and its been a few on castrol 90 weight gear oil
