    Rattling Windows

The rear sliding windows in my 110 (ISUZU) county rattle like hell when the engine is idling. The previous owner had jammed o-rings in the slides to stop it, but that made the windows un-openable. Has anyone had the same problem - or has anyone replaced the plastic/rubber tracking in the side windows?

Yes, everyone with an Isuzu probably has this problem. The problem is (in my case anyway) that the felt in the top and sides of the slides has worn or got displaced. What it needs is to pull the whole lot out and get some felt strip and replace it all. I have not done this! What I have done is to put in place small bits of self adhesive felt (sold to stop furniture scratching your floor etc) in strategic spots in the channel. Lasts a couple of years before you have to do it again.

Mine rattle too and on my todo list.

I'm told the glass is a different thickness in counties to defenders (4mm vs 5mm from memory). That's pretty close tolerance by LR standards anyway.

Seem to recall a post where someone found a rubber supplier in Strathpine that sold the correct size synthetic replacement rather than felt.

Thanks a lot Kelvin - do you have a part number? Or know exactly what I should ask for when I ring up?

Fantastic Weeds, I was just about to PM you! I had a look around clark rubber and a few other places, but didn't find anything suitable.
