    Disc. 1 fractured window roller......

............. I am sure someone on here had this problem but Search doesn't bring it up. Window wouldn't drive open & he found a fractured plastic roller. Replaced it with one from a sliding door track in nylon. Anyone please?

I have just had the same problem in my front passenger door. A parts man said it is the roller making a cracking noise and if the window keeps getting used it destroys the mechanism.
Haven't fixed mine yet, but it means making new nylon rollers, or buying them for $40 rather than $200 for a new actuator.

Contact me off-line and I will give you the address,
    cheers Chazza

    So far its working well.
Just remember if you want to use this roller you need to bend the track lips out a bit otherwise it wom't run smoothly.

I just glued the roller back to geather and filed it back to a round shape. I think I used a two pack super glue. It was 4 years ago. The first thing that broke on the disco after the purchase

Since I didn't have a suitable replacement for the nylon roller at hand when mine failed I used some plain usual metal washers of a similar diameter. I had to pack several together, though, to make them fit in the rail.
