Find a flat bit of road that it won't roll either direction on. Stick it it first or reverse gear, take your foot off the brake but leave the clutch in.
If the vehicle starts to move then it's definitely dragging the clutch.

About 110,000km ago when the previous owner was buying my car the clutch was on its way out and was replaced before the purchase - in view of the comments by learned formites I believe that the job was done on the cheap with just the clutch pressure plate and friction plate replaced and as the spiggot bush/bearing was OK it was not replaced or adequately lubricated.
I believe that with heat from either the ambient temperature or a hard worked car is closing up clearances and causing the input shaft to bind.
I can live with it at the moment if I pause in neutral when going into first or reverse and it is not a day to day issue. My clutch will need replacing soon so I will fix it then.
I don't believe it is an oil issue in my case.
Cheers
