In the UK you could buy a commercial variant of the D3/4 which i assume would have no airbags or other mod cons in the rear section.

I think the biggest issue would be getting an engineer to sign off on the ESC. The ESC would be calibrated to the dynamics of a particular wheelbase. If you changed the wheelbase length the calibrations may require redoing (ie recoding the computer software)...

At 113" you wouldn't need to change the wheelbase but i agree the vehicle electronics will be the biggest hurdle.

An interesting D3 Ute project by Land Rover apprentices, if you haven’t seen this before.

Or, there is the new D1 Forward Control idea from Rotodama in the UK, which is planned on being available in single cab, dual cab, camper and 10 seat bus versions.

For those interested, this is a dual cab D3 ute from Mexico modified for a customer earlier this year. The Facebook post has many more photos.

I don't do Facebook either but it worked for me yesterday so I saved the images.
These guys have done one of the better looking conversions I have seen. Kudos to them.
I haved attached the saved images below in reduced resolution. A couple came up as doubles.
