The CDs are the way to go BUT are limited in their descriptions of the actual or practical way to do a specific task, i.e. the cds description of changing engine oil filters adds unnecessary work, like taking the engine acoustic cover and the exhaust heat shield off, no need to do it, but on other things it doesnt tell you enough. The cds are the place to start as they give great descriptions on how the designs work, i.e. why you need to change that fuel filter regularly as the injectors operate under 22000 psi, a bit of crap in there and bang! I use the cd, then this forum, then summon up some common sense, a cup of coffee/or whatever and take my time -- the first time anyway. A good idea of Andys to take the cd when on a trip.Originally Posted by geckos

I also printed the relevent manuals and put them into 2 folders. I do the search on the CD then take the printed manual out with me. I can also take the printed manual on trips.

I bought the D1 RAVE CD from here before I got my Disco so I could get to know what I was looking at. However when I bought my Disco it came with two folders with the exact same (it would appear) info and layout etc as the RAVE CD.Originally Posted by George130

How does Inciscor get the RAVE CDs? Are they copies from a master CD or are they individually bought and sold from a manual wholesaler?
I use the CD to print a copy out to use when doing the job but take the hard copy on trips and to read in bed on those lonely nights away![]()
