    Question D2 Alarm

    I have a 2001 Discovery 2.

I had a strange event yesterday, my wife came back from a drive and set the alarm as usual. Within 5 minutes the alarm went off. I went out expecting to find someone trying to break into the vehicle but there was no sign of anything wrong. All doors were closed and locked.

    Has anyone experieced this?

Hope this does not happen too often.

Check the bonnet switch. Also check nothing can move inside the car and set off the sensors

Maybe something inside fell off the seat. I guess this would have been picked up by the sensor on the roof lining.

Sounds like it is not a common issue so far.

    Hi Barry
If I leave my windows open a small amount the alarm goes off.Left the dog in there with the windows half down for 20 mins,he only set it off when he heard us walking up to the car.Lazy bugga must of been fast asleep!!!!!

If you lock with the key it does not set of the volumetric sensors (or super lock the doors). So then you can leave the dog in the car. I do this on long trips when the car is full of equipment that may shift.
