Hi Paul
There is a guy called Ian in Perth who has a 2a ex army with a holden6.
He cut the sump off the fairey and had a larger version designed and welded on.The larger oil volume made the Fairey run cooler and quieter.
I intended doing the same but never got around to it and ended up selling the Landy as I bought a Disco.I still have a complete Fairey that needs a new input sleeve and also a spare housing that was going to be the guinea plg.If you are interested in them send a PM,no idea what they are worth but they are surplus to my needs.
Not sure if I still have Ians contacts, but he is still around we bumped into each other in Esperance last easter.

I run Moreys Oil stabilizer at 100% in mine and it quietens it quite a bit. I also found that if you drill out the original pin sized breather hole and fit an air fitting and for a breather, then do the same on one of the flat cap tops on the transfer case and connect the two (so the O/D breathes into the T/C) then your oil will stay in your O/D much longer (about 4 times longer).
