I'm surprised as well!
I got sucked into fitting one on our Falcon, a few years ago.
The change was staggering, to say the least! No fffing difference and 60 bucks out of pocket :mad::mad:

I helped my wife sweep the Hiclone's new product out of the back of the horsefloat last night.

It's good for the roses, and if you burn it, you could run a small steam engine off it.

Can you people not see that sticking a foriegn object into your engines induction system good results will not happen?

I have heard there is another upcoming product to suppliment the original Hiclone, it's called a rock, you stick it in your induction, just like the original Hiclone, and it will render your engine useless in turn decreasing your fuel consumption (and when in conjunction with walking) may increasing your fitness levels by 100%.

with the hiclone, flux generator and the fuel thingo Brocky used to sell all fitted and tuned in, I now make fuel not use it and sell it to the oil companies :tease::tease::Rolling:

while i dont agree that they work, i have no idea actually,. but funnily landrover fit a device very like this in the airfilter intale on the TD5, not sure on the V8, but most certainly on the TD5. my feeling is on the TD5 its a air spinner that throws heavy particles to the outside before the air goes through the filter, so kinda like a pre filter spinner thingy. heh, go my good explanations :)

Yeah thats based on the donaldson filter the swerl effect is to throw most of the dust and larger particles away from the filter - works very well by the way

If you were getting 30L/100klm then there must be something terribly wrong with your car, even off road towing a trailer and hours of low range driving I have Never got that bad (30L/100klm) fuel consumption.
Now if you can explain how you miracously dropped to 22l/100klm, which by the way is still **** poor economy, then your story may have some credibility, what did these 2 Hiclones actually do to improve your woeful economy to a lesser woeful economy, Regards Frank.

Mine is a 96 3.9 auto that I had converted to gas in Dec last year. I was getting around 18l/100km before the conversion. On gas I get around 21l/100km.
I did a trip of 6600km in Jan from Brisbane to Adelaide & return towing an 18ft poptop. Consumption while towing varied depending on terrain, speed and winds. Best was about 24.5l/100km and worst 33l/100km (with howling head wind)
I didn't notice much difference in power between gas and petrol. But certainly worth doing the conversion from your wallet's point of view. I am expecting to have recouped my conversion cost after about 15k.

We should add "Hiclone" to the swear filter.

A mate of mine works in a research lab for one of the big three. He was given one to try in the lab. Guess what, Fuel consumption went up and power came down. Not by much though.
He it was just adding a restriction to the air flow. Any swirl effect is lost by the next bend.
If you have one sell it, have a beer with the change you get and enjoy more power and better fuel economy without it.

I didn't run heaps of petrol to get a real idea of usage, but gas usually yielded 320 to 350 km for 65 litres
