    Coil spacers

    Hello,

I'm just wanting thoughts / opinions on coil spacers, I've got a Disco with a 2" lift, just want a little bit more height, the current suspension is perfectly fine, but my 31" muddies are rubbing at full droop so i want a wee bit more, anyone used them?

    cheers,

    Ray

somebody will correct me if i am wrong but coil spacers i beleive are not aproved to be used legaly (i may be wrong) secondly have u cut your rear guards? 31' tyres no matter how much lift will still rub on full articulation best option imo is trim the guards back a bit and probs should be fixed

these are cheaper and will out last the the rubber ones.

100mm alloy solid 2x 3/8 holes, longer bolts.
the one in the pic is 40mm tall under 30mm will be hard to see, specially if its painted black

cost me $48 for the two.

    cheers phil

    Ray,

I have used ProComp 35mm rubber spacers on my D2 in the past and found the following:

    1) Running a OME 762's in the rear my shocks would top out. You need to use 25mm or less to avoid this.

    2) The spacers compressed my springs and when I eventually removed them, I had lost about 15-20mm in ride height.

    3) They do damp the suspension feedback and make the ride slightly quieter.

    4) Main reason I put them in was to lift the rear and avoid ripping the bumper of all the time - to this end they did the job.

Would I use them again? No, I am going the longer spring/polyair route to get the rear up and keep it up.

    Cheers,

    Franz

urethane spacers dampen the noise down a heap as well. i had some 30mm ones in that effectively gave a 22mm lift. they went well....
