    Td5 Silicone Intercooler Hoses

I have been thinking of changing the intercooler hoses for the TD5 in the Disco to silicone. Have many of the members here done this already?

Who would be the best people to try?

I am more concerned with the moulded hoses any straight ones I can get from work. To be honest I haven't taken a good look at them yet to see what is involved.

    Cheers

    Phil

There are no straight intercooler hoses on a TD5

Several forum members have done this modification already.

    I did mine myself.

Got the hoses from a truck hose supplier. But the rest is up to you and a Stanley knife. Use hydraulic band clamps as the normal hose clamps 'chew' into the silicon hose.

You can get cheap stuff on eBay or at Supercheap, but it's thinner.

Have changed one of my hoses to silicon as it had delaminated but have not changed the rest, will do in around a year perhaps as the silicon hoses are expensive IMO.
'99 Manual TD5 D2.......heap of money spent on it and it has ended

    Hi All,
Can any one advise the sizes
angles, lengths and diametre of the intercooler hoses?

I rang the gentlman named in the thread above; names David. He was very helpfull and prices seem quite cheap but we need to know the sizes required.

    He also stocks the clamps.

Be nice to able to remove and change at once and not remove measure-refit-order then remove and install.

    Cheers
