    New ECU !!!!! You're Kidding

    Hello again,

    It seems things are going from bad to worse for me. You may remember this original post about a new main wiring harness loom in the Extreme TD5 as a result of the oil leek.

    Well after two weeks at the stealer in Launceston they're now telling me the car still isn't going and they're talking possibly buggered ECU.

    Apparantly the codes are showing an engine fault (and for the life of me I can't remember which one now). But when they've independently checked that fault they've found no problem. They can't clear the fault and are now pointing the finger at the ECU and even asking if I want them to order in a new one. No!!! that's for sure.

    It's actually a Bruce Davis ECU fitted by MR automotive in Brisbane but the car is now in Launceston and I'm in Hobart. It hasn't been easy.

    They're telling me they've sent off the diagnostics to Landrover Australia tech support for answers - If I don't get any I was wondering if I should send the same things off to Bruce Davis. Or is there anyone in Tas actually doing this.

    Being 200km from the car is also having its own problems. Anyone got any ideas?

    I have various Td5 engine ECU's here. Im in Hobart.
    Give me a call on 0408 995 635.
    I need to know what year your disco is, and is it an auto or manual.
