The crush cans should have concertina'd to take the blow so you will need to replace them at approx. $185 the pair ( i priced them a few weeks ago).
Had a run in with a large roo early hours of this morning. Headlight assembly and roo were a draw.
I have an ARB Steel bar with crush can mounts for airbags. The bullbar now sits bent back with the top rail closer to the bonnet. (Can't open the bonnet at the moment as the antenna mounts are now to close). On both sides the wrap around part of bar (near wheels) now points noticeably down. The imact was on the drivers side however it appears the bar has either moved on the mounts or perhaps the top concertina in mount is now compressed causing the angle. As soon as I have time I am going to drop past a local crash shop for their opinion but in the meantime anyone have any thoughts?
I think I am looking at having to replace the mounts unless when I can inspect them closer it has slid on the bolts and just needs adjusting back (no doubt wishful thinking!) and of course drivers headlight assembly. (ouch!)

Just had a quote from ARB in Adelaide $88 each. But not sure on ETA, they are looking in to it and will call back (hopefully soon!)
Any idea if a gentle pull on the bar will straighten the concertina a bit so I can open the bonnet in the meantime..... Don't want to remove the bar till I have the replacements just in case another roo decides to try and tackle me
I have (slightly) straightened a couple of different bull bars by connecting a strap/cable to it and the other end to the bottom of a telegraph pole. Reverse quickly and it will pull it back into shape.
I have had varying degrees of success with this - it just depends on how hard you are prepared to have the bar jerked back into place.

Depends how bad as to how much effort.
We have straightened a few by welding them to a steel bench then using lugs and a 1 ton come along and oxy acetylyne.
You will be able to fix it but it may require a few new bits makeing, cutting and shutting.

Have you crawled underneath and had a look at the bull bar mountings? If it's like my ARB bar with crush cans there are 4 bolts connecting the cans to the chassis and 4 bolts connecting the bar to the cans. There is a lot of positional slop in the bolt holes and I'm fairly sure if you loosen the bolts you should be able to manually pull the bar back into position. Those crush cans are massive - I don't think a roo impact would warp them.![]()
No she has, top of right hand side is obvious and left hand side also. Will post picks tomorrow.
Hoping to straighten it just enough to get the bonnet open as it is looking like the new ones could take a little while
