    TD5 Power loss cured?

    Hi Guys

Over the last two or three months I've had an intermittent power loss problem (02 Defender TD5) which I haven't been able to track down. All the usual stuff was checked (turbo hoses, oil in harness etc) and no fault codes logged when tested at the dealer. Coincidentally I recently had the speedo transducer replaced because the speedo hasn't been working properly for some time. Miracle! the powerloss hasn't returned since. I'd understand that the ECU may have been receiving duff information from the transducer, but why only irregular powerloss? In the words of Toyah Wilcox: Itth a mythtery!
