    Loctite Hmmmmm.

    When the copilot returned from down south sunday, not only was there a damaged doorhandle but also a suss knock/bang from the frontend. Took the wheels of and found one of the bolts on the front brake caliper had gone, letting the caliper to rideup a little when the brakes used. I had all this of only last sep to replace wheel bearings + pads , but!!!!!
    IF IT HAS LOCTITE WHEN COMING OF APPLY NEW LOCTITE WHEN GOING BACK ON, and or dont work with a big brown bottle as your shed mate.

    been there, very bad experience with some resued bolts on a propshaft...

    loctite is my friend...... the super heavy duty dismantle with lots of heat and biiiiiig spanners doubley so.


    I keep getting in trouble at work cause I keep putting things together with loctite that Im not supposed to as they are only training aids... The reply I give... "Its what I do in the real world, those bolts were sods to do up, I dont want em coming undone. Plus its good training for the guys who come after me, nothing in the real world evercomes undone as easy as some of this crud."

    inexplicabley I have less "rattles/loose bolt/leaks" demerits against my name.....

    And spring washers, and shake- proof washers, and lock it all with a hit from a hammer and cold chisel to burr the thread. And it will still work loose, coz it is British. At least that is my old Triumph for you. Haven't heard anything fall from the Landy yet, But , I have only owned it for 3 mnths, give it time.
