    Power Steering too light

    Hi
The power steering in my 81' RR is very very light.
Is there a way to make it not so light?
(And no, not let the air out of the tyres)

I know I should not moan it works and does not leak but it's difficult to "feel" the track when it's so light. If you know what I mean.

You might have a stuck pressure relief valve in the P/S pump. Try some P/S fluid conditioner (Lucas, moreys or similar).

    Lucky you!

They generally have a mind of their own - enjoy it before it starts leaking.

But yes let some air out of your tyres. Easiest way to rectify the problem

hmmm I never thought of using a smaller steering wheel.
I think I'll change the fluid and add some of that conditioner stuff and see how that goes first.

If that doesn't work I might try a smaller wheel.

Mine's atrocously light as well, it borders on dangers when doing 100k's an hr. I've put mine down to the fact that I've raised the car two inches and the castor is out.
But I've compensated by steering with one finger, it really ****es my mate off that has a S3 stage 1 that turns like a tractor

I have a small lift on mine too about 40mm but it was too light before the lift so I guess it's not the springs causing it.
    Maybe I should just rejoice
