FWIW, I've been running both types tubeless for years at the recommendation of two tyre services as I kept welding tubes to tyres. The bead is so wide on these rims, it isn't going to pop off in a hurry, and if you have a sudden deflation in a tubed tyre, what's going to keep the tyre on the rim anyway if there isn't any air in the tube ? and I'm speaking from experience here, having had a puncture and sudden deflation at 110km/h on a corner . The tyre just rolled off the rim with the tube inside.
