I checked my disco rims, and some of them have 1350 stamped on them. Not sure if that is a load rating, but sounds about the right ballpark.
The fact that they are listed in the defender parts catalogue seems to say that LR thinks they are fine.
I agree with the comment on aftermarket rims Rangieman - some of them are quite weakly constructed.
There are two 130HD (Wolf) rims, ANR 5593 (tubed) and ANR 4583 (tubeless). Yes the tubeless version has a safety bead.
FWIW, I've been running both types tubeless for years at the recommendation of two tyre services as I kept welding tubes to tyres. The bead is so wide on these rims, it isn't going to pop off in a hurry, and if you have a sudden deflation in a tubed tyre, what's going to keep the tyre on the rim anyway if there isn't any air in the tube ? and I'm speaking from experience here, having had a puncture and sudden deflation at 110km/h on a corner . The tyre just rolled off the rim with the tube inside.
I know a few people who collectively have done about 300k km running defender 110 rims tubeless. No problems (including a few desert trips).Quote:

My rig has been running the tubed rims without tubes for ages, maybe 30k to 40k km's i only just changed em over and put tubes in them cos the tyre place here wouldn't change my tyres unless i did it. thems the breaks, no drama's either way though.
